This lovely Silver coin is the fourth release in the adorable "Puppies" series, dedicated to some of the most adorable puppies in the world. One of the most recognizable dog breeds in the world, English bulldogs have become increasingly popular worldwide over recent years because of their compact size and friendly temperament.
The fascinating history of English bulldogs is believed to stretch back to ancient times when mastiff-like dogs were used for guarding livestock in the Mediterranean region.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Puppies – English Bulldog 2018 1/2oz Silver Proof Coin.
DESIGN
The reverse of the coin depicts an English bulldog puppy with large, endearing eyes doing one of the things young dogs love best, playing with a shoe. The inscription ENGLISH BULLDOG and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the design.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank- Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2018 year-date, and the monetary denomination.
