Critique: One of the first proof gold sovereigns that I purchased. At the time, I didn't realize there were two completely different types of obverse design in 2015. Apparently NGC didn't realize it for a while either, since like this coin a large number of certified coins simply list the date on the holder, with no designation of 4th or 5th portrait. For competition purposes, all of these coins with no portrait designated simply default to being 4th portrait, so in this case everything works out fine.
Only 4546 individual coins were minted with this earlier portrait, and it seems to be more difficult to locate. So I guess I was lucky to get one just by chance. Also, the holder for this coin indicates it's one of the first 200 coins struck, so it's a very sharp image.
