I'll take a bent coin if the guy is really important. Mehmet of course conquered Constantinople for the Turks and Islam, and ended that remnant of the 2,100-year Roman state. Mehmet famously hired the gunsmith who tried to sell his cannons to the Roman Emperor Constantine, but he couldn't afford it. So he made cannons that brought down the walls. The gold sultani was started with this coin and continued by later Sultans who would menace all the way up to Vienna through the end of the 1600's.
