Issued to commemorate the 650th anniversary signing of the Federal Charter in 1291 which is considered to be the founding document of Switzerland and the founding of the confederation.
Obverse: Three standing oath-takers, with right arms raised; the left one holding a rifle; the right one holding a crossbow. Legend CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA around the edge.
Reverse: The Coat of Arms of Switzerland surrounded by the legend in six lines: 5 FR. 1291 1941 PROMISERVNT INVICEMSIBI ASSISTERE AVXILIO
