View Coin   DENMARK 1873 TO DATE 2K 1888 HC CS 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF REIGN NGC MS 65 Christian IX (1818-1906), a prince of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck, he ascended to the throne in 1863 upon the death of Frederick VII, who died childless. Issued in 1888 to commemorate the 25th year of his reign. Christian IX ruled Denmark until his death in 1906.
Obverse: bust of Christian IX to right, date of accession below. Reverse: legend With God of Honor and Justice within a wreath, anniversary date below.

Christian married his half-second cousin Louise of Hesse-Kassel ( a niece of Christian VIII) on 26 May, 1842.
Issued in 1892 to commemorate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

View Coin   NETHERLANDS 1817 TO DATE S10G 1973 Netherland SILVER JUBILEE OF REIGN NGC MS 66 Issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the assension of Queen Juliana as ruler of The Netherlands. Juliana was born in 1909 as the only child of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Henry of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. She became Queen in 1948 on the abdication of the throne by Queen Wilhelmina due to ill health.
Queen Juliana abdicated the throne in 1980 in favor of her eldest daughter Beatrix. Juliana died in 2004.

He was the only child of his father, King Haakon VII. Immenserly popular with the citizens of Norway resulting in the nickname "Folkekongen" (The Peoples King).
Olav V was the last surviving grandchild of Great Britain's King Edward VII.

View Coin   PORTUGAL 1836 TO DATE 500R 1898 DISCOVERY OF INDIA NGC MS 64 Issued to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the sea route to India by Vasco de Gama. Sponsored by King Manuel I of Portugal, Vasco de Gama set sail on July 8, 1497 with 3 ships + a supply ship.
Rounding Cape of Good Hope and after stops along the eastern coast of Africa, the ships reached India on May 17, 1798. The first ship returned to Portugal on 12 July, 1799. Vasco de Gama returned home on 31 August 1799.
Obverse: conjoined busts of King Carlos I of Portugal and his wife Queen Amelia of Orleans. Reverse: a Maltese cross with rosettes in the angles, the dates 1498 - 1898 below.
