1327//8 , year 8 of this reign, covers the second part of 1916 and the first part of 1917. This is why for Turkey we have both the 1327//7 coin covering 1915-1916, and also this coin, to make sure the whole year of 1916 is covered.
There are two of this date, including this coin, graded at NGC, with the other in MS66. At PCGS there are three of this date; this coin was originally the only MS64 at PCGS but it has crossed over to NGC. There are 5 certified examples of this date at NGC and PCGS, compared to 10 of the year 7 date.
