Owner Comments:

In 1907 after it was determined the High-Relief type of St-Gaudens had to many issues, the second version was produced in a low relief format. For the remainder of 1907 and into 1908 these were produced in large quantities without the “In God we trust” motto. Enough were saved that finding one is not difficult. The Gem plus example I have selected for the type has fantastic surfaces, plenty of luster, a full strike and just very nice eye appeal.
