Owner Comments:

This coin was one of ten issued as part of a special Four Coin Presentation Set, as indicated on the label. All LKNS #1 coins are hand-hammered coins in the medieval style. Mintage: 201 in copper (610 all types).

Obverse: knight on horseback, inscription “SOCIE MILIT NUMIS LEGATUM” (Societas Milites Numismatæ Legatum).

Reverse: long cross with roundels, inscription “FRU HON DIS DOC” (fruor honoro disco doceo: I enjoy, I honor, I learn, I teach).

Dies were engraved by Mr. Carson Engle. Coins struck by same. Strike and centering are excellent on this example.
