1893-KB 20 Korona (ANACS) - Design: OBVERSE: Crowned and robed Franz Josef I standing holding an orb and scepter. ~ REVERSE: Hungarian crowned flume coat of arms supported by two angels in the center, small coat of arms sheild surrounded by the coat of arms of territories which were member states of the Hungarian holy crown. Inside the center right half of the small shield there are three hills which symbolize the three mountains of the historic Hungary: Tatra, Fatra, Matra. n the middle hilltop, from an open vrown, the "Apostolic" double-Cross emerges which was awarded by the pope to St. Stephen, the first Hungarian King, in 1000 A.D. for recognition for turning pagan Hungarians to christianity. Inside the center left half of the small shield is four stripes representing four rivers of historic Hungary: Duna, Tisza, Drava, Szava Territories.UPPER LEFT: Croatia – a field which is checkered 25 times. UPPER RIGHT: Dalmatia - three facing golden lion heads with crowns MIDDLE LEFT: Scavonia - a running marten between two wavy stripes that represent two of the major rivers of historic Hungary; Drava & Szava. Above is a six pointed golden star which is the symbol of the MARS (awarded by King Louis II, 1516-1526, for Scavonia's brave fights against the Turks) LOWER RIGHT: Seven donjons disposed four and three. Note- Seven donjons on the Hungarian Flume arms stand for seven cities.
