Owner Comments:
This 3.135 grams, .999 Ag coin has a diameter of 20.60 mm and a thickness of 2.00 mm. This year’s reverse design depicts an adult koala resting in the fork of a eucalyptus tree. It is the work of Perth Mint artist Tom Vaughan. Inscriptions surrounding the marsupial include "AUSTRALIAN KOALA," "2013 1/10 OZ 999 SILVER" and the Perth Mint’s "P" mintmark. Obverses offer the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions are "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and the legal tender face value of "10 CENTS." These silver coins are issued as legal tender of Australia under the Australian Currency Act of 1965. As such, their weight and purity are guaranteed by the government of Australia. Final mintage of the coin is to be based on demand. This coin has a very low NGC population of just 199.
