Medal, 1915, AE, MONTANA AT PANAMA PACIFIC EXPOSITION, United States, San Francisco, So Called Dollar, State Fund, Catalog: HK-409, NGC MS64BN, Cert# 3572532-007. An attractive, high grade example of this classic so-called dollar from the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition. Obv. Within Beaded Circle, Winged Victory stands on prow of vessel, holding laurel wreath before her, Exposition Buildings, Hills, Ship, Sun and Rays in background. Montana obviously wanted visitors to know that their state was a leading producer of gold and silver. The reverse of this issue shows a well executed mountain and river scene with manual mining equipment in the foreground. At the border below, a flowing ribbon displays the words "ORO Y PLATA," which translates to "GOLD AND SILVER". Rarity-4.
