Purchased on 3/15/2013.

The toning on this coin simply screamed at me, so I decided to pony up and pull the trigger. This is not a rare coin, or even a ultra-high grade example -- but the toning speaks for itself.

The auction listed the coin with this description:

"Netherlands Gulden 1965, Gem Uncirculated, certified MS-65 by NGC. Not normally a coin that I would submit, but in this case done so primarily due to the amazing original album toning. This coin spent approx. 50 years in a Meghrig World Coin album with a high sulfur content. The Obverse has multi-colored "rainbow" toning worthy of a Gem BU Morgan Dollar, while the Reverse is a darker monochromatic blue with some red highlights, which was common to a number of other Silver coins from this group."
