The American Association of General Passenger and Ticket Agents held its annual meeting in Buffalo in October 1900 and this medal was issued for that event. This medal is sometimes seen with its original buffalo shaped hanger that reads 1900 (similar to the 1901 buffalo hanger for the Moslem Temple medal a year later). A rare medal in the R6 range based on appearances per year with Beck design on obverse and railway advertisement on the reverse. I am only aware of a handful of these in existence and all are holed. Interestingly, the demand for these is low and prices vary from $25 to $50 when they appear on ebay.
This is an XF piece consistent with the others I have seen. I have only seen a couple of nice AUs that are superior.
