Owner Comments:
This may be one of the most unusual tokens in the set. I have seen similar tokens (with the same "rooster" obverse, different reverse) issued for the 1904 St. Louis Fair and Niagara Falls. An interesting souvenir for a ribald gentleman at the turn of the century to tout to his friends what he won in Buffalo at the Exposition. I was finally able to negotiate this example from Holabird at a favorable price and not the $500 ask that no one would ever pay. I am hoping NGC might eventually change its mind and consider this as an eligible type and encapsulate other examples. This appears every so often in a variety of grades; Mint examples are very rare. Overall, it is in the R5 range, maybe even R6.
This is a uncircated piece with a lot of lines visible on the once reflective surfaces, which is common for white metal tokens like this.
