Outstanding 1961 Pony Express Termination Centennial copper U.S. Mint medal commemorating the end of the Pony Express rout from St. Joseph, MO to Sacramento, CA on October 24, 1861. Medal is bright to medium red with a few tiny black spots and very light contact marks commensurate with grade. Cost: $18.02 on 3/1/12 on eBay from Coins-Tokens-Medals / Bob Berman (coins-tokens-medals).
