Cardiac is back and teamed up with Spider-Man! The real pull of this book is the cameo by a character that will torment the Marvel Universe for decades, Carnage!
There's a lot happening on this cover, maybe too much. Plus the white-colored bad guys and Cardiac's costume being half-white is a bit much. The dark green logo is also nearly hidden, not the best choice.
I've gotta say, I am a fan of Cardiac's costume though!

We're hip-deep in the clone saga at this point and as soon as we lose perhaps the best of Spidey's villains to "death" in Doc Ock... surprise! We get another person to take his place! Welcome in the all-new female Doctor Octopus! I know, the second version is never as good as the first and Carolyn Trainer is no different. I will say that I dug her look though. The costume colors work with the pink hair!
Of course there's all kinds of other stuff happening with Ben running around as the Scarlet Spider and Peter & MJ trying to figure out what is going on. Oh the 1990's... how I don't really miss this part of that time!
Funny enough, my daughter really only knows this Doc Ock! Being younger she loves the Spidey and his Amazing Friends show and this is the version they have! I had to have this one for my 1st appearances sets. Love the Bagely art too!

Mark Bagley was in a major prime at this point and you can tell with his latest creation: Delilah! At this point Ben was in full costume and we were in the thick f the Clone War Saga. Of course that doesn't mean we can't create some baddies for Ben too! And let's throw in The Rose while we're at it!

Maximum Carnage begins here! This story helped get me back into comics after leaving for a few years. It was around this time frame anyway. Mainly I picked it up for the 1st appearance of Shriek! Too bad she's not on the cover, but Ron Lim still did a good job! :)
