This "true grail" of mine may be looked down at by some due to its low grade but it was one of my best purchases!
This key 1st issue of Brave and the Bold #1 is readily available at any given time (unlike Showcase #1) but prices are just way too high for me, low grade raw #1's for sale on eBay auction style almost always sell for at least $300 or more and recently listed CGC graded issue are priced way too high. Current examples of listings for #1 include: CGC 2.5 @ $450
CGC 4.0 @ $1000 and CGC 5.5 @ $1800.
I am please to say that this nicely presenting 1.0 with a detached front cover was purchased already CGC graded for only $115 with free shipping from eBay.

This cover has one of my favorite aspects of a DC comic cover,.. they would sometimes ink them to have the figures in the forefront in deep purple ! I have noticed they did this on other comics and I like it.

Cover is typical of the entire 1-24 issue run, clashing swords bright colors, damsel in distress, this one is mid-stream in a river. bought raw from eBay and came back graded nicely.

Jack and the beanstalk homage cover, one of the best mean looking giant ogres you will ever see drawn on a comic ! A suprising CGC 7.5 from a submission which stunned and pleased me ! Grey tone cover and very colorful. This issue has an ad for, and came out the same time as Flash 105, which some say is the start of the Silver Age.
