Owner's Description

This 30 grams, .900 Ag, Mexican 5 pesos coin had a mintage of 26,740,000 and currently has an NGC population of just 424. The obverse depicts a deeply embossed eagle eating a rattlesnake perched upon a prickly pear cactus with oak leaf and yupon cluster beneath with the lettering: ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. The reverse depicts the Aztec chieftain Cuauhtemoc with the surrounding lettering: CINCO PESOD 30 GRAMOS LEY 0.900 Mo. The coin is 40mm is diameter and 4mm thick. This coin has a NGC population of 424.
