Owner's Description
This 22.50 grams, .720 Ag, 28mm, 25 pesos Mexican coin was minted to commemorate the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. The obverse depicts an eagle with a snake in its mouth, the denomination, fineness and the lettering ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. The reverse depicts a dancing Aztec, the Olympic rings and the lettering JUEGOS DE LA XIX OLYMPIADA MEXICO 1968. The coins edge also has lettering: INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD. The coin had a mintage of 27,182,000 but has a low NGC population of 152.
