Owner's Description

This 15.55 grams, .999 Ag Australian Koala coin has featured a unique design each year since its debut in 2007. This year's coin is no exception. Its reverse side features an adult koala's head with eucalyptus leaves - the primary source of nutrition for the Koala in the Australian wild. The Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which debuted on British Commonwealth coins in 1998, and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. The 50 cent Silver Australia Koala coin is minted to order, so the mintage of these beautiful coins fluctuates annually. This coin has a low NGC population of 497.
