Owner's Description

This is brilliant, super smooth example of a very common date in the Morgan Dollars series, the 1882-S. During the period from 1878 to 1882 the San Francisco mint produced Morgan Dollars which were of outstanding quality. Many of these coins were Proof-like, and all of them were well-struck and lustrous. Fortunately for collectors many of them ended up in treasury vaults where they are well preserved until they came to light years later.
