BillJones's Bio
Bill Jones has been a coin collector for over 50 years and an avid collector of political items, including 19th century presidential campaign medalets, for over 20 years. He recently retired as a coin dealer after 12 years in the profession. Collecting interests include U.S. type coins, early U.S. half dimes, Civil War tokens, Early American medals and Hard Times tokens.

Prior to his numismatic career Bill worked as an accountant and financial analyst for two Fortune 500 companies and wrote speeches for the CFO and CEO of a major life insurance company. He holds a degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Rutgers University.

Bill has written numerous articles for several numismatic publications including The Numismatist, The Civil War Token Journal and Penny Wise. He also wrote more than 100 scripts for the Money Talks radio spots that the ANA sponsored in the 1990s. He lives with his wife, Carol, in Florida.
