Set Description:
Alien Worlds, of yesteryear, keep it sleek and futuristic. Keeping the tantalizing and titillating attractions. Dave Stevens offers up some art, and he may very well be at the heart of it all. Given the models that were used to draw the art, they too may receive some honorable mentions! Along with other artists, as well, no collection is complete without good girl art. Some of these could be considered pin-ups. Those portraits or the type, always remind me of the graphics that were painted on planes. Way back when, they were there for inspiration, in spirit and morale. These covers may be of the "other-worldly" variety though!
There is nothing akin to visions of the future, and the hopes and dreams that what we all strive to achieve, as such are most adventurers. It is something honored, that hasn't even entered into the hearts of man!
Alien planets and their homecoming to astronauts and usual earth-bound people were a niche in themselves all through the late 60's onward. The idea that simple rangers or cowboys could meet the unexpected and find new civilizations that needed a rustling up of outlaws and or vigilantes. It took aspiring to see the future with gadgets and gizmos, but always with one foot on the ground to make it stand out as extraordinary. Those can get lost in translation now that we have innovated in real time so often and with such ease. Somehow the grounded ground control to Major Tom is missing on the scale, making things seem frivolous, but the heroes themselves in storytelling always need an upper hand and a certain fashion for solving circumstances on distant and troubled galaxies and or planets!

Pacific Comics pulling out a winner! Seemingly the future is all we have to look forward to sometimes. It, and perhaps the inventions! All TOGETHER NOW, give us OUR Jetpacks! Well, if we chirp and sing about what "we can do" in the present we may lose sight of it, the future's big picture. As we all call other worldly things together for the writing portion of these Alien Worlds, I know THE Creator who I'm in awe of, forever, and yet, there is so much to learn! Writing can be delicate, while seemingly and arguably the most important, it may be objective, subjective, or just plain conjecture. The love of the art and medium is in the intricacies of it all, and what we will bargain for, or will even take risks to obtain. The art isn't too far behind! I love the Copper and Bronze ages, as they had some imagination with innovation, and with that common ground, the comics call us to the futuristic! There will certainly or probably be more of the same, but the future has been fulfilled for some of the Bronze and or Copper ages, making it more apparent.
Complete with a back cover picture of the insides to this issue, and the self-talk of taking aim at so called curvaceous alien females that are within most of this series. The art inside is not as spectacular as the cover or other issues, namely the Stevens issues, but they tell quick stories that as Yoda (paraphrased) said, "To make you think!"

Bruce Jones & Dave Stevens stories. Ken Steacy & Bruce Jones art. Dave Stevens cover & art! The whole package and still ticking the waves of fancy like a countdown clock to rockets going to Alien Worlds. Dave is speckling the rainbow by taking his whims of imagination to new stories and heights with the covers to this series. R.I.P. It takes a one-of-a-kind person, in retrospect, to produce gains now nearly over 40 years past for the 80's conceptions of big guns and big sticks. Enter Alien Worlds where the women, while beautiful, are sly and cunning in the job of survival. Making worlds their own and portraying the seeds of purpose. Found it at Fan Expo Dallas 2024 for a cool $90. It was an eventful day making it memorable, and as the last two days of the con approach, those in tow are ready for the upcoming adventures of comic Dom and other fan favorites!
Complete with a back cover picture of the science fiction's own Gollum, from the Lord of the Rings! From a novel that has themes and morals of old, for it is a tale trying to tell or portray feeling, emotion of a "knowing" of that which may seem "alien" to us. To help win out over the supernatural seemingly, it only takes ONE who IS supernatural. It is true that today's science was yesterday's fiction, it bears true that outcomes CAN be avoided, clinging to the One who is Faithful and True.

Bruce Jones story, Dave Stevens cover. Bruce Jones, Dave Stevens, Jeff Jones, Al Williamson & Bo Hampton art. Worlds of THEM!! They are somewhere in the imagination of the lunar and solar, but what will become of fellow adventurers that then find themselves among the stars? It takes the trip and busts out the hijinks of bewilderment and thrills that "expect the unexpected!" Those books are now playing on the science fiction of the past, but will they continue to create "new realities?" Passerby and those who long for home are taking up the action, and when portrayed by Dave Stevens it has the allure of the 80's and some 90's curves around the bend. Maybe play some Led Zepplin and pull up a highchair to the series that spoon feeds you tales with tails, all around the alien worlds! You have happened upon the eerie twilight, in the zone, or other sometimes off-guard adventure.
Complete with a back cover picture of the first Alien comic I obtained when coming back to comics, given out at a prescreen to the movie of the same name, "Valerian: And The City Of A Thousand Planets!" Sporting space cops and adventurers beware! They have their mission, and it takes on new meaning when protecting the other worldly!

2 pairs of 3-D glasses included. Inked by Dave Stevens on several of its pages, which is a wonder in itself in a comic made for 3-D and with glasses. Those worlds are being overrun with the Alien variety, only to catch some onlookers with that cover made to splash the moon. It may mean big guns or even bigger rocket ships, when out walks the tiny man space traveler, to oversee and convey the magnitude with what is then face to face! Female caretakers of worlds gone by, which fits in nice with my set at near mint, complete with both pairs of glasses, and a blue universal label. Not bad for a comic issue that was meant to be taken out and "played with!" Found raw for $2 and I did pay for pressing with CGC's CCS this time, it is a wonder that probably shows that I should do that more often, as I thought it was only a VF grade. Those are the times and attributes that make for good hunting with nice comics!
Complete with a back cover picture of the insides to this book. Showing these 3-D glasses attached that appeared throughout the issue, and the kind of style that it took in the inking for those glasses to work properly. A modern type of marvel that still instills the wonders with new and modern achievements with that technology, even today, as we look at the past to see how far we've come. On to Alien Worlds!
Grader Notes:
multiple scuff back cover;
spine stress lines cover.
