This is yet another of my Mutant book sets. Although Liefield is one of the most over-rated artists of all time, there were some nice 1st appearances in his run.

Synopsis: Freedom Force catches up with Cable in New York; the New Mutants arrive on the scene, and decide to defend Cable; Cable promises them that he will find Rusty and Skids; Moira gives Cable her blessing to work with the New Mutants; Rictor remembers Cable.

Plot Synopsis: Caliban stalks Sabretooth in the Morlock tunnels; with X-Factor's blessing, Cable and the New Mutants move into the remains of the X-Men mansion; Rictor gets mad at Cable and heads into the tunnels, where Sabretooth and Caliban confront each other.

Plot Synopsis: The New Mutants head off to rescue Rictor; they wage a no-holds-barred battle with Sabretooth and Caliban, with Masque as an unwelcome third party; Caliban kills Sabretooth (at least, he thinks he does); Rictor begins to have some respect for Cable.
