Set Description:
Werewolf/Therewolf and MoonKnight, now that's a hairy Meatball! Scuzemee does that remind you of the Moonerang! Woo-Hoo! The search for the transformation of man, to calm a beast! The beast lives. It is under the moon. Natural enemies? Is it the attraction or the polar opposites? Is it here to decide for you, and then take you out to the river? You'll have to excuse the moon sometimes; it can do weird stuff!
Beware the Moon, Beware the Wolf, Beware the Werewolf By Night! As it stalks and bewilders, only to have you in its clutches doth it seek to deploy his might.
Where the fog is thick and the ick is covered by fur, roaring to life at the howl of a moon. Those call to mind the silver it would take if it were a common occurrence, as Dracula's wooden stake weakness is a little easier to come by, say John Wick with a pencil! In the night, however, there is a more timely and grimacing type to be aware or just beware of, by the night and the hang of celestials, and those that are orbiting to cause some wolflike disturbances. It means those for blood irk the eerie call of the wind for the distant... AAWHHOO! There goes the thunder of werewolves, by the light of night causing their heightened senses to arise for feasting within their ample and easily accessed surroundings. Keeping out of the vicinity would prove difficult with their enhanced sense of smell, agility and otherwise cunningness.

Story continued from Marvel Spotlight #4. Where it stalks the Werewolf by Night in White Pages! Picked up from Local Comic Shop Awesome Comics for $221 out the door. Another Spring Break 2024 find and at a relative easy-going cost for early morning travel and commute! Glad to have this cover as it is similar to Marvel Spotlight #2 that is on everyone's radar. I used to get the covers mixed up, but once in the collection or in hand, it'll work out better. That red cover and eerie transformation into the brown furball is top notch. A Mike Ploog cover but is similar to the one done by Neal Adams on MS #2, but not quite a "copy", as there is a difference in plotting with the story frame. A first ongoing that character builds the Werewolf, there wolf, and takes on new meaning when it gets to the moon and the resulting powers that are bequeathed in a lunar cycle. It is the Full Moon! Do you know "where" your children are? Back when there was even that tagline for T.V. announcement awareness, similar to phone notifications today, about curfews nationwide! 1972.
Complete with a back cover picture of taking in a show or play, featuring the Halloween themes and other wise werewolves that take on new meaning with interactive audience participation! Boo, Hiss, and Hooray! Encouraged while songs are sung, and the London atmosphere is foggy on stage. Glad to have family events that can call to mind comics, with a Local Comic Shop just two doors down!
Grader Notes:
very light creasing to cover;
very light spine stress lines breaks color;
very light wear to cover.

Origin & 1st appearance of Moon Knight (Marc Spector). Bought from Boardie PunisherPunisherPunisher for $330 then the cost to grade, all in at $362! Glad to finally be able to afford this issue that I had passed on long ago, and subsequently thought that I had missed out on or that the opportunity had passed me by! I've got in several Moon Knight slabs whether in boards holiday traditions or raffles, and those are speaking to the fanbase that I've come to appreciate. Time will tell if this bronze age book holds true to form. With a 1st appearance battle going up against a time-honored tradition of a Werewolf By Night? That is enough for me to make it a collector must, and there are a few like that with more to go and that I learn of every day! Moon Knight might have too many thoughts on the subject with personalities all his own, and kind of sort of appearing first in a Marvel Preview magazine, same as Rocket Raccoon, it is nice to see the appreciation here in comics.
Complete with a back cover picture of the Arcade Game: "Ghosts'n Goblins!" That makes the transition of heroes, as it is even "THEY" that go bump in the night!
Grader Notes:
chews left bottom of back cover;
chews left center of back cover;
chews right top of back cover;
spine stress lines breaks color;
writing top of front cover.

2nd appearance of the Moon Knight, the hero? Granted powers this character's 1st mission is against the dreaded Werewolf by Night!! Often overlooked until this new modern age, Moon Knight now stands tall beneath the gaze of the Lunar light. I had an under copy that came back CGC 5.5 that I sold toward other books and subs. Finally, I had upgraded first! Lucky me, I love 2nd appearances and have a lot. 3rds are on the way and in the collection as well. Time will tell "if" the story of this black cover will equal a narrow escape of two would be major characters. The werewolf used to actually be a bigger deal than the Moon Knight. Unbelievable, right? Those moon gadgets must have sealed the deal to movie and streaming rights. It is a marketable idea to be sold to the highest bidder, however the werewolf has been around a lot longer. Werewolves like any trend may come back around, they just need to be hitched up to something that has passion and excitement, as well, to propel them!
Complete with back cover picture of the pre-screening pass to the modern iteration before released publicly of, "Wolf Man!" A telling of those lupine nightmares, which was a problem for the Moon Knight in the first place and was his first nemesis. Who would have thought both would go on toward the benefit of mankind and or wolves alike! The moon, though a lunar body representing promise, can affect behaviors.
Grader Notes:
light rusted staples to cover;
small crease right center of front cover breaks color;
small, light spine stress lines breaks color.
