Set Description:
Some DOUBLE COVER Hulks, and the association of the Wolverine. Who comes to visit, while keeping the strength in the story. He is to carry the series for any collector. Who is a fan? Keep it smashy, but the Hulk is a gentle giant, in that he smashes without a care! Mr. Wipple at Charmin should be so lucky! Full of Wendigo Talisman's and the comradery that carries you into the battle, just to leave you bearing the burden of needing more! The Incredible Hulk has that Wolverine/Logan FIX.
The Hulk Is Incredible and Shred Able! Just look at that transformation into 8 to 12 pack abs, it's unlike anything Kirk Hammett has ever seen! Metallica!
Spanning over 300+ issues and this volume number one takes a look at the INCREDIBLE HULK and his character building throughout the years and finding some hospitable attitude. It will take some grunting and spitting to "Hulk-Out "the musclebound behemoth that is usually out for the good and the right, to then keep on the firing line. He learns it from somewhere, even if just a bit encourageable, he can make it if he tries, although a lot of people try to stop him in the beginning. With creators and the like seeking some kind of sympathy for the now overpowered giant, it takes those circumstances to then teach humility and for any incredibleness to come by way of it toward the sake of humanity! Portrayals of the kindhearted Hulk show themselves to do their best; by him then accommodating in order to save with the same emotions those weak like humans in need of saving. Those are also simple easy morals to understand. Those of any angry like forces show often what the hulk rages on about and are just enough the opposite to those rage like Hulk impulses by comparison to then learn. The Hulk flips a coin to see which way it lands.

Continued from Tales to Astonish #101 Warriors Three, Enchantress and Odin appearance. Origin of Hulk retold. Happy! Even in 2.5 CGC it is an established book and a caveat to the collection. A needed one and an origin of the Hulk, retold! Indeed sometimes we take what we can get, and that classic style cover of the Bruce Banner transition into the Hulk is all that I needed to seal the deal. I love that the greenish cover is more due to the Incredible Hulk, rather than the "background!" I got this from Dave and Adams website at $128 shipped, although I bought it on a Friday and it showed sold on ebay the next day. We'll see on the following Monday, if it is secured and mine! Sometimes the Internet and weekend working hours are a madhouse. I'm longing to add pics of the slab to round out my registry of Hulk for my collection. What-What!!
Complete with a back cover picture of the one that started the trend for me in DVD form. Let's say, a run of embellishments to curate a steward of comics came from seeing the awesome fight in quick flashes of the moving pictures!
Grader Notes:
staple detached top of spine;
moderate creasing to cover;
moderate scuffing to cover;

DOUBLE COVER: Outside 4.5 Inner 5.5. 1st appearance of the Wendigo, who fights Wolvie in His 1st appearance. The Wendigo is legendary as it is a bit of a talisman issue with powers. He tangles with the Hulk holding his own! This is the 1st double cover that I ever owned. I had only heard of them and next time I walked into the LCS (Keith's Comics) I asked if they had any. This was readily available, I knew it was only mid-grade, and in around 2017 this was a fairly cheap issue. I think for this double cover I paid $50 then the $20 to have it slabbed. Still happy and proud of the timing and ease of finding it! It makes for a story of a bit to be omitted that I was admittedly overly ecstatic about it. So much so that the Local Comic Shop Owner thought about upping the price. He didn't but I wonder how much he actually meant it, when he actually said it. Ha-ha.
Complete with back cover picture of "Book Records" of the Hulk! Records still might have been the norm this early in the 70's decade, at the release of the comic anyway, and 8-tracks were still in their hay day! I too had my share of listening to music and other stuff on the bus rides to college!
Grader Notes:
heavy, multiple crease left top of whole book;
multiple crease right bottom of front cover;
spine stress lines.

1st Wolvie but in cameo. His 1st appearance regardless how minor. He displays last page in all his glory. The Wolverine as a character will take some time to grow and weave a backstory. This issue is a great beginner issue! but also more of a tease. I got this with an eBay coupon of 10% off, back around 2017-18 when they used to have those and before tax had started. I paid about $385 total. A wonder that I wanted it so bad, and again the timing perfect. I love the faithfulness of the Lord. I make a point to keep thankful that answers to desires and especially needs are met. This miss-wrapped copy is perfect given the circumstances and is a great addition to any Wolverine collector. Due to the market prices, this will be the highest grade copy I achieve for a while, but I'm totally satisfied with it, all things considered. I've made peace because I have doubles at the moment!
Complete with a back cover picture of Marvel Cards now that CGC is grading those! The claws man! It's all about those razors for hack and slash, giving some descriptions and making some assumptions with the Wolverine in ADAMANTIUM!
Grader Notes:
light spine stress lines breaks color;
very light wear full bottom of front cover breaks color.

(The Grail) 1st full appearance of the Wolverine! The one that meant the most to me when getting back into the collecting game. I didn't quite miss the financial boat to deem it worthy, but it'll be worth it to me to own the first blow out story of The Wolverine interrupting the battle between the Hulk and the Wendigo. I got this as my 1st purchase from Dale Roberts website, it even arrived with the slab broke. Dale was good on the price of having it reholdered (for free), and I'm forever grateful! This particular grade to me, despite my issue having some foxing on the back, means the world to me! The front cover with a picture of The Wolverine and the Hulk in battle presents well with no distractions! The onlooker of Wendigo saying, "I thought we were giving it a go!?" Breaking chains and new feats, while the Wolverine also comes for his slice of the fight!
Complete with a back cover picture of this awesome "The Wolverine vs the Hulk" Sideshow statue, as the perfect companion to the 1st Wolvie issues. I'm Excited to own it, although the comics I traded for it were steep! Got to have some dedication to my main man Logan.
Grader Notes:
crease left center of front cover;
foxing full left of back cover;
foxing right bottom of back cover;
foxing spine.

Double Cover; outer 4.0 inner 5.0. A minor appearance of the Wolverine, who tells us goodbye on the 1st page. Along goes the story of the Hulk meeting "Cracker Jack" and helping him with his son in prison! A great story even though Wolvie takes his leave on the 1st page. Still a gripping of terms for the Hulk though, now to prove himself loyal and with morals. These stories left messages on our hearts that people deserved 2nd chances and on through the 3rd, and so on. Sometimes we try as the Hulk to do right by others, but we're misunderstood in some way or form. The immovable certainty to an always movable world in which we find ourselves. Those are the instincts within us that are side by side to be in certain fight or flight battle position. You have got to stick and move, bob and weave. Look out! Here comes the Wolverine!
Complete with an added a back cover picture of a card, now that CGC does those, of a Wolverine animation cell card. These were like packing gold when you'd open a pack to find it. Still pushing the limits, innovation brought to us by Marvel.

1st Quasar, randomly within the Hulk Series, this cover has the Hulk literally taking the roof off! Quasar is a character that gets some development later, but he ends up teaching reproductive interpretation's... I won a VF- raw copy of this for free from Duncanville bookstore. They run name drawn from a hat prizes, for buying from them, which is always a plus. I knew once I won, that I wanted a more presentable copy, and that cover of tearing a building (I believe the college Berkeley dorm) is astonishing in concept and delivery. For sure one of the best inspirations for a book in my collection in recent memory. It is nice to see feats of strength, and this book delivers. Always make sure to look for high grade Hulks. Yes, indeed. Good Times!! The Hulk will soon be battling the "Leader" in this run and will need his wits about him.
Complete with a back cover picture of a Marvel Card, as CGC now does those, of Hulk vs Leader because Hulk learned to lead himself from experience! "The Leader" is the arch nemesis of the Incredible Hulk, which is the next probable major plot, in #281-284.

1st Rocket Raccoon. A Newsstand. Movies, a group, a wise cracker, amd a best friend who's an adorable piece of dancing living tree. The raccoon has potential, and he's always up for the challenge, when it's in his best interest. He 1st got his start in a magazine distribution, Marvel Preview, I think. It definitely didn't stop there, though probably forgotten for the longest time. The MCU can make a hit out of anything. The comics had substance but were a flash in the pan at the time. We've got another wise cracker. If only we can get some quality solo stories. He needs a team usually. He can still deliver on his own ambitions for sure, as he is out for himself, but keeps his options open for others. I got a hat to commemorate! Guardians is the nostalgia swing, but Hulk sharing the travels with the racoon was an out of the park hit and run when the movie swung for the fences. Here is to being a kid again!
Complete with a back cover picture of a hat from the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 prescreen before it hit theaters. In sharing a hash tag at the event for proof that we were there and liked it, ha! Sure, it's only an iron on of the logo on front and one of the namesakes of the movie Vol. 3 on back, but I'll take it! My Brother and his friend went with me, and we enjoyed the frivolous guy's night out!

Hulk #340 The Green-Eyed Monster Vs the Wolverine, Hulkster Hulking out against the Berserker! No this isn't a "Clerks" film, this is McFarlane art, who would parody and or homage himself to kingdom come. This is the brawler letting loose of the rearview mirror and keeping the slugfest of potential in the cover. Come ringside and don't sit on your tuffet, make those moves, but do not fool yourself. It takes time for the reader to visualize these behemoths colliding, and don't strain yourself or your eyes will bulge out. Making it a heart decision for out of it flows the issues of life! Sometimes the blindness of rage is only simmered by the exhaustion of dueling with precision to keep that edge! Three claws drawn and down the backside of what could be reminiscent of a nuclear bomb. Time has come to fight the wallet spending for this collector too! LOL.
Complete with back cover picture of the card stock of the 90's similar in attraction, the Wolverine as an animal out in the killzone! Some good has to come from those card days of collecting, I'll keep them handy!
Grader Notes:
light bends to cover;
very light creasing to cover.

Good Ole' "Professor Hulk!" Probably not the "1st that Hulk has proven himself smart!" Indeed, it is the Hulk wisdom that I was after with this issue, with a almost classic cover and issue. Like Billy the Kid said in Young Guns II, "I'll make you famous!?!" This issue's cover gets around, and much to everyone's surprise has a niche collectors' way. The Hulk now able to speak not grunt, calculate not impulse, and to keep it together with a more focused and purposed will, has us all up in arms for the possibilities of the market in media. Could you imagine the Hulk teaching morals? How about intentionally? These are the stories, and I don't write the jokes. I'm just as shocked at the ability to introduce it into the Avengers movie. Still, the possibility is there, if someone were so inclined to make something of it. A "fiddler in Georgia" could calm the Hulk? Not in this lifetime, still the Hulk smasher could be a friend for life!
Complete with a back cover picture of the big green machine as it was meant to be on the cover! Classics that got him to jump and grunt, all the while he is leaping and leaving craters. ISSUE #289, THE INCREDIBLE HULK!! Given to me as an add on in the holiday boards raffle in January 2023 by Motor City Rob boardie!
