Set Description:
First Ongoing Title. Punisher does what he does best in this series from the late eighties into the late 90's. It's everyone's favorite anti-hero, that has been made into other media: Statues, films, badges and iron-on patches, all for the benefit of Frank Castle! Bringing all kinds of "attention", some of it unwarranted. Getting in close with Frank may mean a thrill of action, but it is still a coin toss of how you'll come out of it all. These times in issues are tough with Castle, and the Punisher will abound!
They still come up with new ideas for the Punisher, and he's not dead yet, though he has wished it on his enemies many times. He has even delivered the message personally many times.
Many covers of what I like to call the "breeze", as it is the heat of battle or encouraging others to take heed. This is largely missed as some call on a Punisher to keep some mean streets! It isn't as easy to keep themselves, but vendetta's aside Frank has a steady head. It has, however, been hit and bludgeoned upon repeatedly and for a long time. All that may seem all well and good, or it could be unrest for someone "in a way" that hasn't turned back, and yet those constant small victories make the character. As a man, Frank has endured an unbearable amount of, "Frankly I don't give a...!" The fan base is humble when it comes to intent, but the Castle hasn't fallen! To pay rent in this space calls for mainly covers within the collection and some impulse purchases. Saving those raws to read of those extra Punisher issues from the bargain bins, too.

A rarer, non-foil edition of Punisher #100. This cover illustration only has a "direct version" and no newsstand edition. Cool Cover for Sure! Oh, Frank it NEVER ENDS does it!?! While I believe there is a foil direct and foil Newsstand, it had a different illustration on cover, of #100. I was told about this issue by Stormshadow_80 and Nepatkm, and Punisherpunisherpunisher, those 3 boardie's who are my Punisher go to's. There are others, and this issue is fun with the imaginative skeleton cover, withholding Frank back perfecting his aim. Got this copy from Duncanville Bookstore for a comfortable price. That is the problem with buying from Facebook live videos of LCS, you can't see it in person first. I'm happy it came back 9.0, even without a press, does my collection fine! The color really pops in this high of grade, and that is perfection.
Complete with a back cover picture of the other giant size issues, in increments of 25, all leading closely to the end of the run with issue #100! The Punisher! He is the "living on the edge" type of judgement, Ha-Ha.

Classic Cover! A Chilling Cover of BullsEye out to get Frank Castle the Punisher. He never misses, and with his trusty blade is out to get his target! Bullseye has always been kind of creepy. Add in the 90's decade where creepy is "in", and you've got disturbed, probably. Most Punisher villains have lost it in a big way though. I still have a raw of this issue and who knows as an under copy, maybe it'll get slabbed. Got to keep up with the classics, right? These are the late into the 90's-decade issues, and although long running, with the Punisher appearing in so many crossovers, I think people got too much of him at the time. In today's arena, it could be argued the "Punisher" is probably not "encouraged" for other reasons. He still gets around to having a worthy cause, and the comics have tried to detour the forward momentum, but even Frank Castle has appeared in video games among other media!
Complete with back cover picture of the new style of eerie, with the Punisher artist Dell Otto, but they are similar to #102, in that the center of the cover draws you in! These artists are getting more defined, and it does take skill to make you "want to look" at the cover with awe! I've been pleasantly surprised by a lot of Punisher characters and covers, whom may not be considered your typical "super-hero!"
