One of the cooler Blue Beetle by Joe Simon. The red background and the yellow lettering of the title really makes this one jump. This is the Crippen pedigree and has very good page quality.

The Blue Beetle issues in the 20s are on some folk's GA short bus but they have a certain ximplicity to their covers that makes them appealing to me. Here the Beetle takes up art chores and need I say, "Don't give up your day job!" This is the Crippen copy and has an appearance by Hitler as this issue was produced right smack in the middle of WWII. Charles Quinlan added interior art.

The white background on this issue makes it tough in high grade so the 8.0 is pretty formidable. Blue Beetle blasts away as a WWII pilot - the bullet hole in the window of the cockpit doesn't seem to faze him. Crippen pedigree.
