Owner's Description
WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS GOING ON AT THE MINT ?
In this decade especially in the early 1950's, the quality and eye appeal was very disturbing, According to reference, The US Mint during that time could really care less how our nickels turned out. Most in this year were poorly struck
and nicked up,really tough to find like this. It wasn't until around the mid 50's, the mint actually started improving the condition of these nickels. I'm Satified with this purchase an lucky to find one in this high grade.
These dates just don't come by too often, what few that have nice quality strikes will also carry their premium prices
as well. If you insist wanting Mint-State Quality with Full Steps? Get out your checkbook, or have a payment plan going, because what few that may exist, It'll be spendy!
Currently: There were only (16 ) in a MS67 Graded Thru-NGC. PCGS > (Zero) at this Grade Level.
