This Hulk’s secret identity of Bruce Banner-gotta love the Marvel alliteration-is revealed in Issue #77. This book has always been the toughest in the title to find in high grade, and for many years it was the only 9.4 that we owned between issues #59-101, as there is only a single 9.8 and a single 9.6 in the Census. But finally in May 2026 the 9.6 came on the market and we pounced. It is the second best copy of this issue ever certified by CGC trailing a single 9.8.
FWIW, this book was also part of Doug Schmell’s incredible Marvel Collection, which was sold by Heritage in 2012. To this day, I don’t believe any one has ever equaled his Marvel sets he put together back then. We acquired the book from the 5/28/2026 ComicLink Auction.
