Owner's Description
Story continued from Nova #12. Nova & Photon appearance. Len Wein story. Ross Andru & Mike Esposito art. Ross Andru & Frank Giacoia cover. A murder plotted and afoot calls in the Nova as a relative, and the relatively friendly neighborhood Spider-man to now play hardball. Thinking they've got it made, instead ties them to an anchor to be lowered to the deep sound at the bottom of the water and travailing to break free. Why they didn't seem able at first is part of the comics charm as then, like Columbo, are back on the trail to take down the Photon! Many a spiraling scenario that makes for a great cover, and what an anchor, considering the size of said ship. Well, wrapping up circa 2024 with some last-minute ditch efforts with the Amazing Spider-man in the number #100's, finds this seemingly VF/NM CGC 9.0 obtained and making good on the year!
Complete with those ocean sound stickers brought by way of a prescreen to the movie before released publicly of, "Avatar the Way of Water!" Commonly found at the dollar store now I think, but it calls in the big wave riders when a Spider-man and a Nova, of sorts, finds their whale of an upper hand being then anchored. Secured to the ways of water finds them instead hot on the trails.
Grader Notes;
foxing left bottom of back cover.
