Owner Comments:

Obv: St. Stephen Rev: Metz coat of arms. While the bishopric (located in present day Lorraine France) dates to 4th century, the city itself predates the Roman conquest. Amongst final coinage of Metz before both city and bishopric lost minting rights in Peace of Westphalia at conclusion of Thirty Year War in 1648.
