João V gold 12800 Reis (Dobra) 1732-M MS62 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM139, LMB-288. A prolific type from the Brazilian gold rush that becomes quite challenging in Mint State preservation. The piece at hand displays a satiny wash that is amplified at the peripheries and boldly struck devices subject to only a hint of rub in the central regions of the flan. Conditionally scarce here, with the NGC census declining quickly in choice and gem statuses.
