The architecture of the Administration Building was referred to as a layer-cake design. Aluminum new metal tokens and store cards were struck in abundance for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. Most of the Midwinter so-called dollars were struck in aluminum. Reverse microscopic signature NOBLE CHICAGO. The N of Noble appears to be two V’s, one punched upside down to create an N.
Rarity R-6, Weight 9.35 grams, Size 44.2 mm.
There is only (1) MS 64 PL listed as finer in the NGC census as of 1/2024.
The NGC MS 64 PL example was sold by Bruce Thomas in a Heritage auction in 2022 for $900.00.
