OBVERSE: The emblem of the Republic of Cyprus. ( A dove flying with a branch of olive within its beak, in a shield inscribed with the date 1960. All within an open wreath of olive leaves). The date above the shield.
REVERSE: A branch and cone of the Cedar pine (Cedrus brefifolia), a species unique to Cyprus. It is a protected tree and may not be felled or mutilated.
DIAMETER: 19.5 mm.
WEIGHT: 2.82 g.
EDGE: Grained.
METALCOMPOSITION: Copper 75%, Nickel 25%.
ENGRAVER: W. M. Gardner.
MINT: Royal Mint, London.
MINTAGE: 25.000.
RARITY Common.
