Beginning in 1807 the obverse of the Quarter Eagles transitioned to a Capped Bust variety, the first of these, the Bust to the Left type had a 6-year run from 1807-1812, and a combined mintage of just 399,013 pieces. This is a nice AU55 example displaying some original mint luster, great surfaces, and a very nice strike.
