The Minnesota State Quarter was released on April 4, 2005 as the 32nd coin in the State Quarter Program. Minnesota’s original Statehood date was May 11, 1858.
The reverse features an outline of the state with the motto “Land of 10,000 Lakes”. The lake theme is further emphasized with two people fishing on a Norway Pine lined lake with a Common Loon in the foreground.
