Owner Comments:

A rarer date Seated Liberty Quarter with strong mint luster for an AU-55 coin.A nice bright white sharply struck coin with just the slightest hint of wear on the highest points.Truly a beautiful coin graded by PCGS and very close to being uncirculated.Grover Cleveland was the 22nd President when this 1888 coin was struck in Philadelphia.President Cleveland has the distinction of being the only President to serve two non consecutive terms as President.First as the 22nd President and then as the 24th President.Sandwiched between him was the 23rd President Benjamin Harrison.Another little known fact about President Cleveland was that his birth name was actually Stephen Grover Cleveland but as an adult he dropped his first name Stephen.President Cleveland was also a distant relative to the man that Cleveland,Ohio was named after. However,he never lived in Ohio and was born in New Jersey. He eventually became Mayor of Buffalo New York as well as Governor of New York State.
