This coin is a slightly scarcer 1892 Type 2 Reverse Variety Barber Quarter which was designed by Charles E. Barber.It has a somewhat Proof Like appearance.Truly a beautiful first year of issue coin graded by NGC as MS-63 Star.This coin was minted in the same year as the Columbian Exposition (held in Chicago) which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the “new world” by Christopher Columbus in 1492.The series was minted between 1892 and 1916.President Benjamin Harrison was in office at the time this coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint.He was the 23rd President of the United States.
