Medal, Plaquette, 1949, Bronze, France. BEE-KEEPING (Apiculture) by R. Lamourdedieu. Rare. Size: 54mm x 45mm. Virtually Mint State. Possibly an award Plaquette. Obv. Beekeeper with Har and Gloves, examining beehive contents, Thatched Buildings in background, medallist signature at totem right; Rv. Center panel with no engraving, all within a broad floral border with large flowers at sides with Bees in each. Extremely Attractive. Ref: (CGMP III, 223/G). Rare. The only other example located in the past 20 years was DNW, 17 November 1999, Lot 933, and that was VF at best.
