Owner Comments:
This is one of the most common medals or tokens obtainable in the series. Not sure if 1,250+ exist but it would not surprise me, and I cannot consider this anything other than "common" even though it is probably in the R2 range. Valued in the $5 to $20 price-range for holed examples, unholed examples fetch more as those are harder to find. There are many varities of this token, and not all were manufactured by Whitehead and Hoag. As with the other miniature award medal issues, these are advertisements issued later by the award-winning company rather than souvenirs issued for the expo. However, with the famous McNeil award design, they are always popular.
This is a lustrous MS 63 with lovely deep gold color.
