Owner Comments:
In this group there are 4 patterns (T20,T21T22 and T26) that are differentiated by weight, diameter and thickness. The same dies were used resulting in a clear "1" denomination on the reverse and includes "Penny" written below the number. The thickest been 4.83 mm and mass of 24.78 gm and the lightest 10.09 mg and a thickness of just 1.91 mm. 2 patterns have an estimate of 100 been made (T20 and T22) and 2 have no records of how many had been made (T21 and T26). The obverse of the coin has the Transvaal coat of arms (flags) and the reverse depicts the numeral and a reference in Dutch "Eeendragt Maak Mag" which in the english language means "Unity is strength".
