Philippines - 1963 Centavo - KM #186 - Mintage: 130,000,000
Minted by the Philadelphia Mint in:
...... March, 1963: ...15,620,000
......... April, 1963: ...50,000,000
.......... May, 1963: ...64,380,000
...............................----------------
.....................Total: 130,000,000

This bronze one centavo coin was minted by the Philadelphia mint for circulation in the Republic of the Philippines. The obverse of this coins is reminiscent of the obverse design from the previous US/Philippine Centavo series issued from 1903 through 1944. The reverse shows the shield for the Republic of the Philippines and that it was issued by the authority of the Central Bank of the Philippines.

This particular coin didn't quite make the cut to be full "red" coin, although I've see coins with a full RD designation that had much more brown in them. There are relatively few minor nicks in the devices and fields on both sides of the coin. Both the obverse and reverse are well struck. I was expecting MS65RD, so this seems like a good review candidate.
