This 25 centavo coin was minted by the Philadelphia mint for circulation in the Republic of the Philippines. The obverse of this coin is reminiscent of the obverse design from the previous US/Philippine 20 Centavo series issued from 1903 through 1945. The reverse shows the shield for the Republic of the Philippines and that it was issued by the authority of the Central Bank of the Philippines

This is a very common date, and relatively easy to find in uncirculated condition. This particular coin however is one of only 5 to have been graded above MS60 by either NGC or PCGS,. As of this revision, there have been four graded at MS64 with only one higher at MS65.
