A rather nice coin even though it is graded as VF-Details Cleaned.Minted in Philadelphia,this coin was minted during a difficult economic period know as “Hard Times”.Many Hard Times Tokens were made by private die sinkers as both Political statements and merchant advertising tokens which circulated as small change.Much of the country’s coinage was hoarded by the public during these difficult times.
