Owner Comments:

This 1938-D Buffalo Five Cent piece is in MS-66 condition and graded by NGC.While this date and mint combination can be found in high grades without much difficulty this coin is still a very beautiful coin with great eye appeal. The Indian and Buffalo design is one of the most iconic designs of the old west on an American coin. This coin was minted towards the end of the “Great Depression” and a few years before the United States became involved in WWII.The President at this time was Franklin D. Roosevelt who eventually became the only U.S. President to be elected to a 4th term but didn’t finish this term because of his untimely death while still in office (prior to the end of WWII) on April 12,1945 at the age of 63.
