Owner Comments:

The 1943 zinc coated steel cent was a one year issue made out of necessity during WWII.Copper was needed for the war effort to make munitions for our soldiers. Therefore the U.S. Mint was looking for an alternative metal to strike the Cent. The change was only needed for one year. This 1943 cent was graded MS-65 by NGC and is a nice lustrous example with much eye catching appeal.
