Republic gold Peso 1872-GW, MS 61, San Jose mint, KM 116. Value spelled out. Finest known from the Magnificent Richard Stuart Collection. Mintage of 37,000 pieces and very few have survived. This is the scarcer date of the two-year type. Extremely rare in this condition and the only graded by NGC as Mint State.
