Owner Comments:

1957-D. Breen 4382. Sky blue patina with light pewter striations. A ring of golden bronze has begun to form around the rim of the reverse. Reverse die is offset about 5 degrees counterclockwise. Housed in a 1st generation NGC holder, with only one tiny tick hidden in eagle's left wing.

Varieties Owned:

1957-D, Misplaced Mintmark, 1957-D RPM-001,

the left and top sides of a D mintmark is seen above the left stem of the wreath. This second mintmark is completely separate from the first mintmark, and has been found on several dies, which may be from a working die used to make working hubs. Possibly done intentionally by a mischievious mint employee.
