Purchased on 7/26/2012.
CAC approved example of a very nice Type 2 Standing Liberty Quarter.
Only 123 graded higher from PCGS and 83 graded higher from NGC for this date with a Full Head (FH) designation. David Hall on the PCGS website describes this coin as "one of the rarest of all Philadelphia mint Standing Liberty quarters in mint state condition. And it is very rare in Gem full head condition. About 40% of mint state survivors have fully struck heads." While this coin doesn't quite make "Gem" status, it is certainly one of the nicest MS64 SLQs I have ever seen.
